“Google announced this week that it will enable corporate users to bring their services to Gmail using a new form of integration called Add-Ons, which already exists in Docs for text documents and Sheets spreadsheet software.”
The tool was made for developers to write a code in Google’s Apps Script language and then have their integration running on Gmail on the web as well as their mobile applications for iOS and Android.
This type of system can be useful to users because it helps them work without leaving Gmail. It’s also a way to get more people to Google’s email service, instead of using other customers who can access the service, such as Microsoft Outlook.
According to Google, some companies like Intuit, Salesforce and ProsperWorks are already working with the new tool. Initially, access to Add-Ons will be released to developers soon. Those interested in participating in the program can subscribe to this link .
